FY Patron of the Month Interview

Last month, the winner of the FY Patron of the Month Award was none other than myself, Alivan (CL5). So, I decided to answer some of my own questions that I have used previously in the 'Blue Report.'

1 - What kind of contributons did you have to make to the Outpost 10F fantasy community in order for you to receive this award?
I believe that all the work I do for the Wizards is what helped myself earn this award. Writing the Wizard 'Blue Report' articles, helping out with fantasy events, and giving my input on matters concerning the fantasy sector are all things that I try to contribute to the fantasy community.

2 - What made you take such an interest in the fantasy genre?
I am fond of the fantasy genre because it covers such a diverse number of subgenres. Although I also like science fiction very much, fantasy is what I am really established in. Plus, some of the best Outpost 10F citizens are members of the fantasy sector.

3 - Did you expect at all that you might receive this award?
No, I did not. There are so many other dedicated members of the fantasy sector that could have just as easily received it.

4 - How long have you been a member of the fantasy affiliation?
I have been a member of the Fantasy genre for a bit over a year now. When I first joined Outpost 10F, I was actually a member of the Star Wars genre.

5 - If you were FY Sector Commander for a day, is there anything you would specifically like to do?
I would do a few things. Firstly, I would do something to personalize the 'Wizard' ranks; the rank of 'Wizard' is very much unadorned. Secondly, I would add some new avatars to Minas Tirith; not all necessarily from 'Lord of the Rings,' but from the fantasy genre in general. Lastly, I would update and improve the Wizards of Minas Tirith homepage; it could use some work.

6 - Do you have any Outpost 10F goals left that you have not yet accomplished?
I have two major goals left; (1) to become CL7 and (2) to become the FY Deputy Sector Commander. I realize that both of these goals are most likely far off into the future, but if I remain dedicated, and Outpost 10F stays around long enough, I believe that I will be capable of accomplishing both.
