SW Patron of the Month Interview

The Senate's very own Senator Kamino, the Entertainment AM1 and the Gemini DL - CL7 QD was the proud winner of the SW Patron of the Month for May! Despite a court injunction, CL7 AJ caught up with Queenie and asked her a few questions.

1. Queenie! :D What do you think it is that secured you the SW Patron of the Month award?

Well, I have these photos that I keep in a secure bank vault and when I remember they're there I send copies to the relevent people... or, I kinda just stuck my nose in where it didn't belong and did a couple of odd jobs. I'm not sure which it was this month, next time, I'll keep detailed records.

2. How do you feel on receiving the award?

Pleased, slightly shocked (I always am when I get awards, like someone must have been having a brain storm, or clicked the wrong buttons, or there were sunspots on the server). Mostly, I just scrolled down the updates and went, 'OMG!' that's made my day, thanks guys! (right click, save as) :D

3. You're the Senator of Kamino. What does this actually mean - what do you do as a member of the Senate?

I throw parties and generally surf. I guess, though, I come up with random, possibly dumb, ideas that we may or may not act on. We all chip in there, I don't consider myself great at programming, or whipping up web pages (in fact I suck) but that's why I like the Senate, it's not just about those abilities, tis a team. Of course, it may that I'm just there to provide fresh seafood...

4. You're also AJ's right-hand man woman - again, what sort of work do you do here?

I do his laundry, did you know he wears pink, thermal underwear saying 'ENT rules OK' on them? I also clean the cages with the fire hose, annoy him and wonder what the heck I'm doing. I hope he thinks I do ok. I think I'm possibly his evil Henchperson, I've been known to get rather grumpy about missed reports, and I have endless lists to prove it <^.^>

5. You've been around OTF for a few years - what's your best memory of the place, chat-wise?

Crumbs... Maybe the first Anniversary I attended, it's a bit of a blur now, but I remember being online for three days almost straight and not wanting to log out. Anniversaries are the best fun, I hate that feeling when they end, especially as they fall near the end of summer, too *tear*. Seriously, though, there have been so many, and I never would have thought I would have had so much fun when I first stumbled into one of the chats back in 2003 (typical me, I didn't go through the homepage, just search-engined my way onto a log-in screen and blundered on in) or that I'd learn almost everything I now know about comps from all your guys, for which I heartily thanks you;)

6. We all know you're now CL7, and AM1 of the ENT department. Did you ever set out with specific targets and goals in mind, or did you just take everything as it came?

My goal was explore this new internet thingy I suddenly came to late (as usual, didn't own a PC until March 2003). I was feeling a bit isolated, thought, I wonder if there's a fantasy oriented chat room, and everything else just rolled along thereafter. I didn't have a plan, I just wanted to help out and bring fun to others. Maybe, somewhere at the back of my mind (and once I figured things out) I thought, hmm, armory would be interesting to see, or, HTML might come in handy, but really, I don't use either very often. I mean, have a goal to make folk happy, in the end that's all that really matters (which I hope doesn't make me sound ungrateful, I'm not, honest).

7. Following on from that, do you have further targets? Perhaps a bloody coup installing you as SM?

Oh, yeah, there is that... (damn, I was coming across all nice and stuff...) *checks world domination chart* No, honest, the only goals I have here are not to let folk down if I can help it, maybe make sure my HTML doesn't turn the updates board background blue again (twice), to leave Gemini Trivia in good hands and to know everything ever. Okay, maybe not as much as Iain, but that's a goal, right:D
