Sounds of the Stars: A Music Review

Hello! I’d like to say that I’m excited for this new job for your music department. I’m happy to say for the first time in twenty years Pink Floyd will be releasing an album in October! One of the people in the studio that has been working with the group “leaked” an image stating,”Btw Pink Floyd album out in October is called "The Endless River". Based on 1994 sessions is Rick Wright's swansong and very beautiful”. Being a Floyd fan this great news. Unfortunately Roger Waters has said that he will not take part in the album but I am sure it will be great.

In other news there has been a great up n’ coming band call the Orwells. They have become popular in recent weeks playing major festivals and appearing on the David Letterman Late Night show. They were so good that Dave asked them to play more yet the turned down the offer.(Who turns down the offer to play more music especially being asked by David Letterman).

EVERYONE IMPORTANT NEWS! Keep record players and if you don’t have one get one! Many new artists are shifting back to the older way of music. Jack White is coming out with an album that will be just on Vinyl! A great thing about records is that you get 90% music quality compared to 10% on mp3.

This Summer I’ve been making a playlist. So far it consists of artists such as:John Mayer, Jack Johnson, Vampire Weekend, Lana Del Rey, Pink Floyd and The Kinks! I hope all of you will enjoy listening to these groups/artists during your summer as I do.

My current station in Los Angeles has been wonderful. The music in the city is even greater. Sunset Strip is far from dead. A few nights before went to the Roxy. The club was filled with people. A great young group named.

The great thing about most clubs on Sunset is that there's no age limit(minus the Viper Room). Tonight I go to the Whiskey a go go. In their beginning days a local band named The Doors was a house band for the club. Led Zeppelin and Alice Cooper once played a series of show together their as well. Black Sabbath played their first shows in decades also announcing that they would your and put out another album.

A local group that you all may like is a group named Blind Ferguson. They’re an up and coming band. There music is a mix of comedy,ROCK AND ALT. YOU CAN FIND THEM ON THE internet on google.
