Hey folks!

This one will be blissfully brief as I've not been around too much recently due to an extended period of leave that I've just returned from! What I do want to say, however, is that I'm delighted with how far a lot of us have come since I took charge back in November. Way back then Entertainment was in turmoil: there had been a string of resignations of key officials and things were grinding to a stand-still. Luckily, everything has since been stabilised and looks to be going along very nicely once again. There are a few concerns regarding certain projects, but it is nothing like it was when I took charge. Don't get me wrong, I'm not claiming credit for these changes - I'm crediting you folks for how you dug deep, stuck at it and worked as a unit to get things sorted once again. A massive kudos to you all for that!

So, to everyone A secondary point I wish to stress is that I cannot over-emphasise the importance of communication across the department. Rather recently it seems as though large bodies have suddenly fallen silent and I'm very much in the dark as to where key projects are at the moment, and where we're heading in the future. I know that more communication means more emails in your inboxes, and that can be annoying, but if you think you have it bad, I'm on almost every mailing in the department - I know the real meaning of a busy inbox So if we could try and communicate to one another more and keep each other informed as to what is happened with projects and if there is anything you folks need.

We've made a very bright start since November, let's keep it up!

Thanks!
CL7 AJ

Assistant Managers

Gates, SG and QD went deep sea diving and found untold riches in the hidden city of Atlantis. And as usual they wanna keep all the fun for themselves. They only found time to sent in a couple of funny quotes instead *rummages* here's they are:

"I thought I'd begin by reading a poem by Shakespeare, but then I thought, why should I? He never reads any of mine." -Spike Milligan

"He said 'I'm going to chop off the bottom of one of your trouser legs and put it in a library. I thought, "That's a turn-up for the books." -Tommy Cooper

Oh wait… seems that eh.. SG has decided other wise… *sees a not too pleased and still dripping ASM standing before her.* I'll eh.. start cleaning….

Gaming

Well this past month in Gaming has been an interesting one to say the least. After many months of waiting we finally have picture games ready to go.
We’ve also seen the end of another round of BNT and a good one at that. We’ve seen a bit of a break in the BNT Game to give the player and the coder a well-deserved rest. We’ve also seen some work out of XZ which is likely to be OTF’s newest, biggest attraction game wise, since BNT first showed up at OTF. I can’t go into much detail about this game seeing as I don’t know how much he wants revealed. Now for the 2 final pieces of News from gaming, yes I know this is short. First off, I’d like to say welcome back to Neo who due to computer problems had been out for the past while and I’d also like to say a sort of goodbye to everyone... but not really, seeing as I’m staying on to run BNT. That’s right, I’m stepping down as TL, this might surprise a few of you, those who live under rocks ;), but I figured this was as good a place as Any to finally tell everyone about it. What this means is that I’m handing Gaming back over to Munro. I know he’ll do a great job.

Well Farewell and the best of Luck,
CL5 Krillen
Former TL of Gaming

Special Operations

Special Operations has gone through a bit of a spring clean since the last issue of the ENTerCom. We had a look at our roster, those who were being enthusiastic and active, and those who were fading in to the background. We also took in to account receipt of EOM reports from individuals and comments of our DLs. Taking all these factors in to account QD and I set about cutting members from our team. Some resigned, knowing that they were on the chopping block, and resignation seemed a way to save face. It seems lately that too many people are just joing divisions, teams and departments as a fast-track to promotion. That should be a secondary concern! OTF is a community, not a career! As active members we should simply want to improve our little community. Don't get me wrong, ambition is good, but this is not RL and a rank has no sway beyond OTF.

FM's Adventure

When I was asked, and by asked I mean told, to do an entercom article, I was against it. Then there came mention of whips. Now seeing that I’m against violence, well violence against my person, this was a major motivating factor in the world of
The FM.

So I guess with that Introduction I should have your attention so, lets tell you all of the little story of the FM that could.

It happened a long long time ago in a city far far away, well Atlanta 2000, it was hosting the international youth Conference. I was lucky enough to be able to go on behalf of my Youth Organisation.

The brand new: Picture Games

Any and all comment on the games can be send to XZ. He is the one responsible for the new coding and this rounds fun. Blame him!

Entertainment's Party

Plans are being made for an Entertainment party. Out brainstorming so far have lead to a possible trivia event, team trivia event a game event and even a simming option.
We have plenty of minions have experience with trivia. This one how ever will be totally about entertainment, so every one should be familiar with the subject. Or at least a little if you are not then you need to do some homework, for it is your very own department. We could play a trivia in the normal way, each hunt for their own points. We could however take all the division and play with these teams for the point. And find out who of us know the most of our own department.

World Cup Soccer

It has finally happened. People bought a new wardrobe, got new make-up and put there plans on their calendars. Yes the World Cup have started. Almost all over the world you will be able to find the World Championships creatures. Most of them can be recognized by the colors of their nation, or team. Depends on what stage you will see them in this competition. Some will have war colors on their faces, others will have adjusted their hair, car and even their whole family for this.
Groups are being formed, security is having a hard time keeping things civil in Tenforward.
Take note that gambling is forbidden during this time of season on the OTF station. If you are cough doing so, then you are to contact AJ immediately. He has the power to determine the punishment in these cases. If you are too stubborn to do so then Iain will be judge and jury. And we don't want him enjoying his power, now do we.

New Cages

Our VIP minions now have their very own luxury cages. They finally came in, and they are better then we dared to expect. We have two available colors: black and dusty black. The dusty black is reserved for those old-timers who already feel right at home at our own cosy department.
Extra options for these cages are:

- one extra warm blanky
- one extra empty cookie jar
- one extra choc-bar wrap

Note: our own order of extra ice-cream for the summer holidays has been denied by a certain VIP. Did some one mention losing a cage key?
