Thanks for reading this month's issue of the Blue Report. If you are new to the Outpost, welcome. We hope you are enjoying getting to know everyone.
We've got lots going on around here. First, I'd like to say that I'm happy the Trivia team has been holding events recently. I'm really looking forward to the next session and those in chat event's have been missed. If you are looking for somewhere to plug in, contact Hydra or Cameron. I'm sure they'd love to have some new minions on board. Secondly, The Yearbook team is getting an early start this year and they are looking for a few good people who are looking to get a leg up around the Outpost. This is a project prime with promotion possibilities. If you are the creative type, let me know. Last but certainly not least, Outpost 10F's first major union in 5 years will take place in Philadelphia Pennsylvania this July. Unions team has been working hard to plan a Union OTF can be proud of, and since I'm going I'd like to see as many of you there.
Now in this month's issue, we have some cool stuff. I'll point out our new member highlight article, this month Commander Werner interviews Shell. Paulie recaps what we've been posting to the Blue Report on Facebook, Cameron decided to dive in and let us know about the new Doctor, Brandi regales us with another tale onboard the USS T'Kumbra, and we've got a bunch of other thing to check out as well.
That's about all I have to say this month. If you've received a promotion or award this month, my congratulations to you. I'll make sure to buy you a drink when I see you in chat. Have a great month, and thanks for reading the Blue Report.

Congratulations and thanks to all of you for your contributions to Outpost 10F!
The Outpost 10F Blue Report on Facebook page has been a hotbed of activity lately, brimming with news from multiple science fiction universes. These stories cover goings on with Star Trek connections (both pre and post-reboot), to the first bits of information and speculation about the upcoming Star Wars movie (trilogy?), information and speculation on Doctor Who Season 8 (or 34, if you count it that way), Ghostbusters, Heroes, Firefly and Orphan Black.
In early February, there was news that Scott Bakula would star in a new spinoff of NCIS. Then, Leonard Nimoy, “Spock Prime” as he’s now known (He’s not a transformer, dangit!) announced that he had been diagnosed with COPD after years of smoking.
There’s a great little video of Patrick Stewart on David Letterman. An interview with Firefly’s Joss Whedon followed, in which he said “A limited reboot would be great.” Then there was the news of Star Trek: Wrath Of Khan bobbleheads.
Then came the news that the Millenium Falcon was being rebuilt for Star Wars VII. Following that, there was anarticle on the possibilities of actual time travel. In another bit of news regarding a “limited series”, Heroes is coming back in 2015 as a miniseries.
Then there was information that a new companion would be joining The (newly regenerated) Twelfth Doctor and Clara (has he accepted his kidneys yet?). The new character’s name is Danny Pink. That was followed by the news of “Ghostbusters” alum Harold Ramis dying at the age of 69, due to complications of an autoimmune disease.
WhatCulture produced an article on how the JJ Abrams reboot of Star Trek just wasn’t Star Trek anymore, followed by the news of Star Wars VII possibly casting it’s villain in an actor named Adam Driver, and a trailer for Transformers: Age Of Extinction, which looks amazing.
That was followed by another Doctor Who article. The article speculated on a new actor portraying the Time Lord’s archnemesis, The Master. Then the spotlight turned on Entertainment Weekly’s coverage of Orphan Black. The second season premieres April 19th.
Then there was news that Chris Pine was charged with a DUI in New Zealand, followed by a couple of articles from io9. One of them put a scifi-fantasy spin on March Madness, and “What Does Your Favorite Star Trek Say About You?”
Then there was news for our model-builders. The Ferengi Maurader and USS Dauntless can now be added to your model room, if you have one. That was followed by an interview with Paul McGann, speculating that Peter Capaldi could be the best Doctor yet. That was followed the confirmation that Star Wars VII would be set 30 years after Return Of The Jedi, and some more spoilery Doctor Who Season 8 news.

Background:
Peter Capaldi was born on the 14th of April 1955 in Glasgow, Scotland.
He as acted in many films and TV show's such as Midsomer Murders or Waking the Dead. Although, his most notable role is Malcolm Tucker in the comedy series The Thick of It, which he was in from 2005 to 2012 along with the spin of film In the Loop in 2009.
Most recently he was cast as the twelfth incarnation of The Doctor in Doctor Who, taking the role over from Matt Smith (Who will be missed), and it has been hinted that Capaldi's Doctor may be a mixture between the Seventh and Ninth Doctor although from what I've seen he's wearing the Master's cape.
Capaldi was known to be a fan of Doctor Who during his youth. At age 15, he wrote a letter to Radio Times entitled "Dalek-Builders" were he showed his love for the show. During 1976 a issue of Doctor Who International Fan Club Magazine, printed a piece of Capaldi's art showing a TARDIS.
He is an award winning actor and director winning an academy award for his short film 'Franz Kafka's It's a Wonderful Life' and also the Chlotrudis Award for his portrayal of Malcolm Tucker.
He has however starred in Doctor Who before as Caecilius in 2008, along with a role in Torchwood as John Frobisher a year later. Steven Moffet commented on the fact that Russel T. Davies had a plan for him which Moffet will hopefully show us, but he is lightly evil. (No, I'm not over Amy and Rory yet)
Do you have any thoughts about the new incarnation or any theories about this secret plan? Feel free to tell us in the comment section below!
