On Screen Movie Review - Avengers: Age of Ultron

Article by Demon Slayer

Once again Marvel have done it again with a perfect mix of Action, Humour, Suspense, Romance, and Death in a cocktail called “Avengers: Age of Ultron”. (11th Movie in the Marvel Cinematic universe)

The film is about The Avengers fighting over the consequences of Stark/Banner’s Frankenstein monster they accidently create called Ultron, who’s misinterprets Starks vison of “peace in our time” as extinction of man.

Four new characters are introduced in this film:

We are introduced to Hydra’s human experiments with Loki’s Septor Wanda Maximoff (Elizabeth Olsen) and Pietro Maximoff (Aaron Taylor-Johnson). (Last seen in the post credit scene of “Captain America: The Winter Soldier”).

They are not called Mutants but Enhanced people. They are also not called by their future names (Scarlet Witch and Quicksilver) or that they are Son and Daughter of Erik Lehnsherr (Magneto). This may be due to an agreement with Fox who own the X-Men Franchise.

We are introduced to Wakanda and Ulysses Klaue (Andy Serkis) as an arms dealer, as a set up to the up and coming 2018 film “The Black Panther”

Then lastly we have The Vision (Paul Bettany). An evolved body made for/by Ultron.

We see new recruits (people introduced to us over the 11 films) being trained to join the ever growing roster of “The Avengers”. And we get startling new information that will slowly present itself over the next few movies till the conclusion which should be in 2018/2019 movies.

End credits focus on marble characters of the film, and the end picture is a fight scene diorama (which would look great painted and be part of a collectors gift DVD set, or sold separately).

After main character credits (the marble diorama) we get the first post scene as a set up for a future film.

Sadly that is it. There is no extra post scene at the very end of the credits.

Next Marvel Movie will be “Ant Man”

P.S. Look out for Stan Lee’s cameo…. It’s his funniest so far.

Editor's Note: This Movie receives 5 Outposts out of  5. It is a must see!
