Cont. United Kingdom Unions

London union 2004 August good: first official union organized and run, Heat wave, not having many hic cups in schedule. Bad: loosening a few people twice, heat wave (no one wanted hot food which is what I planned thinking it was going to be a normal British august), babysitting also good part of august was getting surprise engraved challis (which Lindax thought was her beer glass) already working on next years London union (depends on if and when next year Babel is doing a Manchester union) other good part of august union is... Personal. There is no way you will get any more info out of me.”

Another bad thing to do is to forget to bring a camera. And not take pictures of your guests with your Bat’Leth or other goodies.

The other individual has been pleasantly surprised by the fact of how good you can get to know fellow OTF-ers. The recorder could just manage keeping up with his babbling:

"Shakeycat: Tanya comes across much as she does online again, friendly, warm and open. Perhaps somewhat more shy at first in real life. Somehow coming across gentle but also firm in her convictions. An interesting person, a student at Prince George I believe, when I met her.

Rabid Tribble: They say that Acadians are more friendly and accommodating then other French Canadians. Well this is certainly true of Rabid Tribble. He has a great sense of humor, warm and accommodating and most of all, very funny and witty. He knows what he wants from life and who he is, or at least gives this impression. I’m sure if you asked him about our encounter- he would mention that fact that we got lost in the midst of New West and Port Coquitlam in BC while trying to find Shakeycat and Admiral Maxwell, but I would equally counter this by the fact that the major directional navigator, a native no less was drunken on vodka in my car while trying to find our way!”
