First order of business after getting into the Exploratorium was lunch. They ate at the overpriced café and then started looking around. One of the first things they looked at was a very cool looking slanted room. Very Alice in Wonderland. In this room, size is totally distorted...Sidne is taller than TaCHyoN and Voyman kept having to tilt his neck in very uncomfortable looking ways to keep from hitting the ceiling. They continued through the exhibits until they got to one that captures your shadow on the wall. They all had fun playing around in this one, unfortunately, the flash on their cameras messed up any photos they tried to get. Next was another shadow exhibit, this time involving light bulbs with different wattages. Suddenly, in the low light of the enclosed space...there is movement! Sidne grabs a pen and lunges towards Rictor in a very Psycho-like move! Luckily, Voyman catches the entire scene on camera, and Sidne's actions are immortalized for generations to come. The group mourns the "death" of Rictor. Then they keep going. They continued to wander around the downstairs portion of the Exploratorium, looking at exhibits as they went, until they reached the stairs. They went upstairs into the sound section. The first thing they did was start playing with the musical contraptions that were around. (Voyman, Rictor and Sidne quickly discovered how out of tune some of them were) After spending some time with all the different sound exhibits, they moved on to the next section, which was sort of a DNA and other biology things section. In this section, they saw a collection of skeletons of different animals. (including one of a mouse that Voyman is certain they found in the café...ewwwww) Then, they went back downstairs to finish the rest of the exhibits. There was an exhibit that involved putting blocks together to make different things. So, everyone sat down and started working...or rather, Sidne and TaCHyoN sat down with one set of blocks, Smile and Rictor with another, and Voyman wandered around. Sidne and TaCHyoN, both being Engineers, went to work on the hardest thing they could build. After they successfully built some sort of tower thing, everyone came over to take pictures. (Sidne claims she's going to send one of the pictures to Eagle with the caption of "Sidne and TaCHyoN's final Engineering project") Then, they went and raced little disk things. Or at least, Smile and Rictor did. Smile won. Next, it was on to a section on heat. There was a very cool thermal scan there that they got great pictures of the group sitting at looking all black and white, with very few features showing up. Then, they saw some frying pans that the bottoms changed color with heat. Voyman decided to go all cartoon-y and bash Sidne over the head with a frying pan. Smile also got the same idea...although, she snuck up from the side and tried it.
