Greetings fellow OTF'ers! What a great year it has been for the Outpost, and for me it has gone by fast! Capt. Crazy Texan and I survived our first year of marriage, despite some occasional stress and a leaky roof in our old apartment. I have to say it’s been a tough year, but worth every minute! CT is my best friend, a quality I highly recommend to those of you looking for your future spouse! In our spare time away from OTF and work, we’ve been involved at our church as youth sponsors for junior high and senior high students (ages around 12-18), and other ministries like our new drama group that puts on skits and short productions. As we all know, Outpost10F has undergone a lot of changes in the past year, culminating in the release of v2 over the last few weeks. This year has meant a big change in my role in OTF as well, going from the manager of Internal Affairs to Deputy Sector Commander (DSC). It has truly been an honor to work for OTF in this capacity. Some of the things I do are work with the Sector Commander (Capt. Babel, of course!) in preparing promotion lists, making changes to members’ data as requested, and assisting with special projects as needed, both for the ST genre and for the Executive Council. One of those projects that I’ve been working on is the brand new Welcoming Committee you’ve all been reading about. I’m very excited to start this new tool to help our “newbies” get a good start and feel at home in OTF! One of the best parts of my job as DSC is to get in and chat with peeps! OTF is, after all, a chat community. ;-) I’ve really enjoyed getting to know everyone, we are a diverse and talented group!
