Engineering Yearbook report 2002

The past year has been a rough year for engineering since the merge of Research and development and engineering there have been some turbulent times. We have been trying to find the right path, the right mission. We asked a lot of patience of our members and they gratefully gave it.

Engineering was reshuffled, restructured, rebuilt and has recovered. Many projects were moved, terminated and revised until a handful of projects were left. It has been difficult even to decide where these projects should go and what possibilities the projects have to improve the OTF community. We wanted to make sure we explored every single variable of the project and created a perfect plan for each and every one of them.

A lot of different projects and approaches have been tested, some more successful then others. Team leaders and members have come and gone, changed positions even departments. Now since three months we have a stable, hardworking team. All eager and willing to make engineering one of the best departments around, take the projects and make sure they are of the quality the OTF deserves.

Now eight months later its time to put engineering under the loop again. LinDaX and Ika stepped down to take on the development team together while Babel became the new Senior Manager and Logan the new Assistant manager.
With their expertise on organizations one can be sure excellence will be achieved.

Engineering has been working on various projects last year. Also the Interactive Development team has supported other departments with their projects. Projects like The Archives, Intelligence Homepage, Unions page, trivia banner design, calendar header, horror library and more. We have been very proud to help out with each and every one of them.

Inside the department projects like the Seniors playground and OTF Workshops are still running. Also we can expect a lot more in the future. The OTF Downloads will be upgraded and new projects will emerge.

As you can see a lot will be happening in this department the upcoming year. So keep an close eye on them as they will rock OTF's world. You do not want to miss it!

Regards,
The engineering department
