History of Cinema Part Two: 1920-1940
As the early part of the 1900’s wore on the cinema became an everyday
feature, slowly taking over from the variety and vaudeville acts that had originally spawned the phenomenon, casting them to one side. The cinema was no longer seen as merely a cheap sideshow novelty, it had become a full-blown industry as well as an art form in its own right.
