. So, what is this Wish Lists Contest, and why bother? The Idea: The Holiday Wish Lists Contest was a little idea I had last year which proved pretty successful at another of my regular haunts. People seemed to like the idea of writing up a Wish List (insane or otherwise) and helping bring a little more of the Holiday spirit to their fellow chat peeps. Due to last year's success, I decided to give the Contest a try over here at the Outpost, and I hope that it will be received just as well over here. :)

Why bother with anything? *l* The idea behind this Contest will be to bring a little more fun, Holiday feeling, and maybe even a few laughs to the community in this festive season. *g*

How Can I Take Part? Quite simple! All you need to do is visit the Wish Lists Site and write up a List by filling out the Entry Form. The List can be as long as you want it to be with as many things as you want to write on it. It can be as serious or as insane as you want it to be, just keep things clean, and make sure it complies with all the Outpost rules, or Santa won't even take a 2nd glance at your List. ;)

What Will Happen to the Lists? All lists that are sent in for the contest will be put up on the Wish Lists site for everyone to read and enjoy, so try not to insult anyone in your list, as they may end up reading it, and that wouldn't be a pleasant sight, would it? *l*

Also, hate to spoil the fun, but I won't be delivering any items on any lists to anyone. I'm not Santa Claus, but simply a Messenger. ;)

Will I Get Anything for my List? That depends on how good your list is. Awards will be given to the best 3 Lists (regardless of whether they're insane or serious) and other good lists will get runner-up awards. There may be some special awards too, (such as "Funniest List") but these will depend on the nature of the lists received. :)

Is There a Deadline? As with any contest, yep! Exact deadlines have yet to be worked out but will be announced on the Wish Lists Site and Update Boards ASAP. Just keep checking, and make sure you get your entry in before the deadline.
