With the Anniversary close at hand a new team has popped up. Entertainment had debuted the Party Planning Team to much fanfare. I recently took a little time with Entertainment SM Trinity to talk about the new Team, its Duties, and what we can expect....

BR: Trinity thanks for joining us… again.

Trinity: No problem! Glad we were able to find time with all the chaos going on.

BR: You’ve been pretty busy lately. You’re planning more than a few things for the  Anniversary, Trivia Team is back up and running, Anything I’ve forgotten?

Trinity: I'm helping Kaela and Katrina on a few projects that we're keeping pretty low-key. I can't say more than that ;)

BR: I understand you’ve started a new project, a party team of sorts? That sounds like it could be some fun.

Trinity: Yeah! I know that not everyone is into trivia, so I put S in charge of an Events Team, aka "Party Planners" or on FB "IT'S ALWAYS A GOOD TIME." Between S, Ruth, Kaela, Katrina, and Tanya, we've been experimenting with ideas for events to keep chat active.

BR: So how did that idea come up?

Trinity: Shortly after Jarek passed away, a few of us put together an in-chat memorial for him. It was nice to gather as a community and remember our friend. So many showed up and paid their respects, and we all remembered how healing it can be for us to just be around old friends. So Tanya mentioned we should do it more often. But we all have grown, and so we have busy lives. So it helps to have structured time in chat to let people know "If you want to pop in, this is the time to do it" and then put it out there. We made a facebook event called "EVERYBODY CHAT" and put down a date and time. It was wonderful. So it was a brainchild of a group of us. S is always delightful and looking for ways to help, so I put her in charge. But its been a wonderful experiment. We're still trying new things and are eager to test some concepts that haven't quite been done in chat before, but it's good fun.

BR: How often does the Party Planning Team plan on planning Parties?

Trinity: We've been shooting for once a month, really. Themes and parties and games take time and practice. But we're always kicking around ideas. Our next big project is the anniversary, but it'll have the third official Party Planner Event...and then some.

BR: Who do you look for when it comes to adding newbies?

Trinity: What I look for are people that have energy and are excited to talk to others about their passions. Anyone who loves any of the fandoms and likes connecting with others based on that mutual passion. I'm not looking for skill sets, I'm looking for people that like to work together and foster community and fun.

BR: How many people are on this Team at present?

Trinity: S, Ruth, Kaela, Katrina, Myself, Tanya, and Trekkie.

BR: If someone were interested, how would they join up?

Trinity: They'd have to be interviewed by S and myself. But I want to keep the group relatively small--once you open up to double digits it becomes exceedingly difficult to coordinate people that span every time-zone on the globe.

BR: Any other surprises you have in the works?

Trinity: I'm sure I do. Some of them I don't even know about yet :P
