Pepper and Onion Ham

1 2lb pre-sliced ham

1 Cup pepper and Onion Mix

½ to ¾  Cup cold water

2 Tbsp brown sugar

Preheat Oven to 350 degrees

Place the ham carefully in an oven safe deep casserole dish.  Add brown sugar, water, lemon juice, and peppers and onions.

Carefully mix the water and lemon juice  so that the brown sugar is well mixed and dissolved. Cover with foil and place in oven for 45 minutes.

After 45 minutes uncover and take the water and baste over meat 3-4 times (I use a ladle for this as it is better, ensuring that there are peppers and onions on the top of the meat.  Bake for another 35-45 minutes until meat thermometer reads 170 degrees.

Let stand for 10 minutes and serve. It is a good idea to serve with just a small bit of the juices and peppers and onions, if so desired.
